Search visibility describes how present and findable a website is in the organic search results. It is not the same as traffic, but reflects theoretical findability.
Search visibility indicates how easily a website can be found through search. It depends on how many relevant a domain ranks for, at which positions and with what search volume.
High does not automatically mean a lot of traffic. A page can rank well yet receive few clicks if the is low or features such as answer the query directly.
For a clean analysis, segmentation helps:
brand versus non-brand visibility,
visibility by topic, URL and page type,
visibility by country and device,
presence in AI Overviews.
Low search visibility is not a technical error like a missing title, but a strategic signal: there is untapped search potential that can be unlocked through better rankings, stronger or fixing technical bottlenecks.
