RankScan guides you through a six-step setup assistant on your first login. You only need your domain, your main competitors and a few search topics - no technical setup and no developer required.
How to start #
1. Step 1 - Your website: Enter the domain and brand name, then choose target market and language. These settings define where RankScan checks rankings and AI answers.
2. Step 2 - Your competitors: Add the competitor domains you want to compare against. You can update them later at any time.
3. Step 3 - Your topics: Create thematic areas, for example "CRM for SMBs". Topics bundle , prompts and competitors.
4. Step 4 - Your keywords: Assign relevant search terms to each topic. You can skip this step and add keywords later.
5. Step 5 - Your AI prompts: Define the questions RankScan should use to check ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. RankScan can generate suggestions for you.
6. Step 6 - Ready to start: Review the summary and start the first scans.
The first results take a little time because RankScan runs real checks and AI queries. Once the scans are complete, the property overview shows your first scores.

Tip #
Start small. One or two topics with a few keywords and prompts are enough for the first run. You will see faster whether the topic setup is useful and can expand from there.
